As you’ve noticed from previous posts I’ve made and you will see in posts that I will be making in the future, I absolutely love social media. Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, not so much MySpace….. LinkedIn, Forums, FourSquare, I just love them. They are a revolution in the way we communicate with each other. Well this post is not going to be any different. HootSuite 5 has just been released and you should try it out.
In this day and age, who uses the actual website for a service? No one. People use applications and third-party services to access all of this content. Well HootSuite is one of the best third-party apps I’ve found so far.
Which network is HootSuite for then, you ask. It’s for a lot of them. You can link your Twitter, Facebook, Facebook Page, LinkedIn, Ping.fm, WordPress, MySpace and Foursquare accounts all to your one HootSuite account. That’s one of the reasons HootSuite is so awesome. But I’m not here to talk about what HootSuite could do before, I wanted to share with you what it can do now that HootSuite 5 has been released.
First off, HootSuite 5 has been made with HTML 5 so you don’t have to worry about it going out of style anytime soon. Along with HTML 5, HootSuite has added themes, new style retweets, and has added native languages like Japanese, so you can enjoy it in your home language.
One thing I think is really cool is the addition of Google Analytics right in the app.
Google Analytics users no longer need to switch screens to analyze site traffic and performance because all the data is now available in HootSuite’s dashboard. Using OAuth secure login functionality, you can track conversion to sales, lead generation, or other metrics from your Google Analytics, using advanced URL functions.
If you have not checked out HootSuite yet, it’s worth the time to take a look. It saves a boat load of time when reading and organizing your social life.
Do you already use HootSuite or some other app? What do you think? Is it worth the time? Let me know in the comments or @DevonSchreiner or @InflectoVita or on our Facebook Page.

@Dave O No problem, when something is as great as HootSuite is, you can’t help but blog about it.
