I Live The Google Lifestyle

I really want to apologize to the people that may actually read this blog here for not posting in a while but you have to understand, it’s finals week in school and I’ve been moving into my new apartment. It’s been a super busy time here for the last week or so but I’m back!

The funny thing is though, that I was never really gone. I wasn’t tweeting, updating my Facebook, writing blog posts, or even commenting on other blogs but I was still here. I was still reading everything and paying attention to everything that was going on. With the help of my Google account and my Motorola Droid I couldn’t be more connected.

I have long been saying that in the next couple of years either Google or Apple are going to take over the world. I think Google is definitely making some big strides in the right direction right now. Barring Google Buzz (right now), everything else has been amazing. Their integration of an amazing email client, Google Wave, Google Voice, Google Chat, Google Calendars, Reader, Docs and then being able to automatically sync all of that to my Droid is a dream come true.

Now don’t get me wrong, you don’t have to have a Droid to make all of this work. My mom is not quite the tech person. I just signed her up for her first email account, ever, about two weeks ago. After finding out she hadn’t used it yet, I got on the phone with her last night and walked her through Gmail and the Calendar features and she loved it! She is now sharing all of her calendar events with me and knows exactly when I have to work and don’t.

If you haven’t tried out the Google lifestyle you should, it is definitely worth it. Also, chances are, I will be writing about Google again so watch for that. Do you already use Google for everything? Do you use something else? Let me know in the comments.
