I was reading though a couple blogs this afternoon and found something a little bit odd. You’re probably asking yourself, “How many posts is he going to start out like that?” chances are, a lot more. I like to read blogs and sometimes I find things like this that I just can’t wait to share. But on to what this blog is really supposed to be about. Twitter. Twitter has been a big topic lately, especially with the big Chirp conference and everything. Is Twitter usage growing or declining? Is it getting bigger or smaller?
This morning when I woke up I checked all the blogs I read and was a little surprised when I noticed this. I saw this article on TechCrunch and this article on Techi. On the same day, I read one article that says Twitter is getting bigger and one that says it’s getting smaller. Which one should we believe? Who has the more credible information? That’s for everyone to decide by yourself.
My opinion is that Twitter may not be getting any bigger but the people that are already using it are using it more and using it better. Twitter has many uses besides the stereotypical “Tweet what you’re doing every second”. People just have to realize what they want to use it for. And the big question is are they going to use it long enough to find that out? I don’t think that the loyal Twitter users are going anywhere anytime soon.
What do you think? Is Twitter getting bigger or smaller? Are people getting tired of it or just getting started? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
