Do you see the timer on the right hand side of my blog there? Do you see it?? Do you see how close we are to entering Spring? We are very close. Very close indeed. With less than 17 days left in winter and less than 65 days left until graduation, Devon is a happy camper.
Have you ever felt that ‘Holy Crap’ feeling? That feeling that you’re not really ready for what’s coming? Well that holy crap feeling hit me last night. I put in my notice to vacate at my apartment, it’s already Spring Break and I’ve only got seven weeks of class left, Katie and I went down to Kansas City last weekend for a job fair and I realized I should probably start looking for boxes because I’m going to be moving out in two months.
I feel like I’ve finally made it, I’m finally here. This is the moment I’ve been waiting my entire life for. The moment I’m done with school and have to opportunity to make my own path in the world. I’m excited and nervous all at the same time. It seems like these last four years have gone so quickly, but I couldn’t be any happier with the point I am at in my life right now.
One of my favorite songs from when I was graduating from high school comes back to mind. I feel it really encompasses all that I’ve been feeling in the last couple weeks and how I will be feeling in the next seven weeks.
Get ready world, you’ve only got seven more weeks!
